ABOUT THE BOOK

Hitchcock Blonde is the first work of prose from acclaimed poet Sharon Dolin. Written in a style that, in the words of National Book Award winner Terrance Hayes, is “infused with an uncanny mix of flirt and fury,” this candid, ingenious book traces the life, work, and relationships of the narrator through the lens of ten Hitchcock films. These movies, a formative part of Dolin’s childhood—and ever-present in her nightmares—are used to frame and draw comparisons to important episodes from her coming of age and beyond.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sharon Dolin is the award-winning author of six poetry collections, most recently Manual for Living and Whirlwind.
