Bethanne Patrick, one of Flavorwire's "35 Writers Who Run the Literary Internet," created the popular #FridayReads meme. Currently she reviews frequently for The Washington Post's Book World, where she also writes a monthly column on hot reads. Her reviews and author profiles can also be found at The LA Times, NPR Books, and many other places. She tweets @TheBookMaven and really wants to know what you're reading.


Allison Punch is a reader, writer and Michigander. She was awarded the Deacon Maccubin Young Writers Award in 2016. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Argot Magazine and Breadcrumbs Magazine. Allison works in the nonprofit space, convening grantmakers dedicated to improving their practices to better support nonprofits and communities. She helped produce Old Town Books's inaugural Emerging Writers Festival and is an active #bookstagrammer, sharing book reviews and her reading life at @allisonreadsdc. She lives in Silver Spring with her fiancée.
