Bethanne Patrick is a writer, author, and critic whose work appears frequently in The Washington Post, where she is a columnist. She also writes for the LA Times, NPR Books, The Boston Globe, and many others. Patrick's memoir, 'Life B,' will be released by Counterpoint Press in 2022. She lives in Northern Virginia with her family and far too many books. She tweets @TheBookMaven and really wants to know what you're reading.


Jesse of Bowties and Books (founded in 2018), is an Afrochicanx individual who focuses predominantly on BIPOC SFF narratives with an emphasis on queer storytelling. Most frequently found rocking a bowtie, Jesse is also passionate about their 4 month old Belgian Malinois, RF Kuang books, dapper & vintage fashions, as well as the implications of horror noir. In addition to operating Bowties and Books, Jesse operates Enby Book Club, a nonbinary bookclub that centers the stories of nonbinary and gender defiant individuals and peoples across the globe.
