Slipform Poetry Workshop: Ghazal

Slipform is a poetry workshop that uses formal poetic structures to explore gender and sexuality. In this workshop, led by Danielle Evennou, participants will learn to write a ghazal, which originates from Arabic poetry. The ghazal centers on themes of romantic love and beauty in the face of grief. This workshop takes place on Tue, January 14, from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM at Loyalty Books Petworth, 827 Upshur Street, NW, Washington, DC. Registration fee $15.
