Slipform Poetry Workshop: Tritina
Established in 2016, Slipform is a poetry workshop that uses formal poetic structures to explore gender and sexuality. Developed by courageous New York poet Marie Ponsot, the tritina is an abbreviated version of the sestina, using three-line stanzas instead of six with a specific repetition of end words. An instant favorite go-to form, the brevity of the tritina will have you write impactful and haunting verse before you know it.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to publish their work in the third edition of the Slipform chapbook and to perform at a commemorative reading held at Loyalty Books Petworth. Registration fee $15.
